The 6 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb is a classic way to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Known as the Coca-Cola Route, Marangu is the only Kilimanjaro route that uses permanent mountain huts for overnight accommodation instead of tented camps.
This itinerary takes you through several distinct environments, from lush rainforest to moorland, alpine desert, and the high-altitude summit zone. The 6-day itinerary includes an additional acclimatization day at Horombo, making it a preferable option to the shorter 5-day version for many trekkers.
At the summit, you will aim for Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro.
Tanzania Crown Safari provides experienced mountain guides, porters, meals, accommodation on the mountain, park arrangements, and support throughout your climb.
The 6 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb is an excellent choice for travelers who prefer hut accommodation and want an additional day to adjust to altitude.
Unlike routes that use tents, Marangu provides sleeping huts at Mandara, Horombo, and Kibo. The route follows the same trail during ascent and descent, creating a straightforward out-and-back trekking experience.
