7 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb Itinerary
Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate.
Complete registration and park formalities before beginning your climb through the lush rainforest.
The trail is surrounded by beautiful vegetation and may offer opportunities to see birds and other forest wildlife.
Continue to Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Day 3: Horombo Hut Acclimatization Day
Today is an important acclimatization day.
Take a shorter trek around the Horombo area, with an optional hike toward Zebra Rocks or another suitable nearby point depending on your guide’s recommendation.
The extra time at altitude helps your body prepare for the higher elevations ahead.
Return to Horombo Hut for rest.
Overnight: Horombo Hut

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
After breakfast, continue across the alpine desert known as the Saddle, located between Mawenzi and Kibo.

From Stella Point, continue around the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres.

Continue down toward Kibo Hut for a short rest, then proceed to Horombo Hut.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut
After breakfast, begin your descent through the beautiful moorland and rainforest.
Return to Mandara Hut for your final night on the mountain.
