Day 1: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp

After breakfast, drive from your hotel toward Rongai Gate.

Complete registration and park formalities before beginning your trek.

The trail passes through beautiful forest and gradually climbs toward Simba Camp. Along the way, you may see birds and other wildlife.

Day 2: Simba Camp to Kikelewa Cave

After breakfast, continue trekking through the moorland zone.

Day 4: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Camp

Leave Mawenzi Tarn and cross the famous Saddle, the broad alpine desert between Mawenzi and Kibo.

Arrive at Kibo Camp, have an early dinner, and prepare your equipment for the summit attempt.

Day 5: Kibo Camp to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut
